Dr Sadek Hamid is Research Fellow for the Digital British Islam project, based at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David.
Dr Hamid has held teaching and research positions at the Universities of Chester, Liverpool Hope, Cambridge Muslim College, and Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies. He has written extensively on Islam in Britain, Muslim young people, Islamic activism, religion and public policy. His publications include Sufis, Salafis and Islamists: The Contested Ground of British Islamic Activism, British Muslims: New Directions in Islamic Thought, Creativity and Activism, Young British Muslims: Between Rhetoric and Realities, Political Muslims: Understanding Youth Resistance in a Global Context and Youth Work and Islam: A Leap of Faith for Young People
