This collection includes various educational institutions run by British Muslims. These include Dar ul Ulooms (religious seminaries) which may cater for adults or young people, those following a more Western education model, or those offering less formal online courses on various Islamic topics. We have not largely included Islamic primary and secondary schools as there would be too many to cover in our archive.
Dar ul Ulooms and similar institutions link closely to the Religious Authority collection, too, since they are involved in the training of Muslim scholars.
This collection also includes Islamic book publishers there is often a focus on educational/devotional/learning materials in their publications (although these may have fitted in other collections). We have also included educational charities, networks and umbrella groups, as well as those which are academic in nature.
